What is man? Man is a free, rational,
moral, responsible, and accountable being. Man is not a sinner
by creation. Man is not a sinner by birth. Man is a sinner by choice. God created man in his own
image and likeness with a rational, moral nature that makes him responsible and accountable for his
deeds. The law and government of God is written in his heart. God does not create sinners! Man is
created in the image and likeness of God with a good and an upright nature, and, because God has
created man with a good and an upright nature, man is guilty, and condemned, and under the wrath
of God for his sins. He can be saved if he will repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. But he
will suffer everlasting punishment in hell for his sins if he does not truly repent and believe the gospel
of Jesus Christ.
